Sri Lanka: COVID 19 Tally Increased To 1884

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 cases total increased to 1,884 Saturday with 4 more persons testing positive for the coronavirus, the Health Ministry reported.

According to the Health Promotion Bureau report updated at 8 pm Saturday, 621 confirmed patients are receiving treatment at hospitals while 63 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

A total of 84,802 PCR tests have been conducted to detect Covid-19 infected persons from February 18 to June 12, according to the Health Promotion Bureau report.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka increased to 1,252 earlier today as 56 more patients regained health.

They had been receiving treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital (10), Welikanda Base Hospital (02), Colombo East Base Hospital (01), Iranawila Hospital (16), Kattankudy Base Hospital (07), Welisara Navy Hospital (09), Homagama Base Hospital (07), Minuwangoda Base Hospital (03) and Hambantota District General Hospital (01).

Sri Lanka has confirmed 11 deaths due to the COVID-19 so far.
